WWE and Netflix are developing a behind-the-scenes documentary series.

The announcement was made Thursday by WWE president Nick Khan at the Southern California Next Level Sports conference and reported by Bloomberg.

The series will be replicated after the popular “Drive to Survive” series that led to a popularity surge for F1 and caught on with viewers throughout the pandemic.

Subsequent series have been launched on the streaming service including “Break Point” and “Full Swing” in other sports genres.

WWE and Netflix entered a ten-year deal worth $5 billion, which goes into effect this January. The deal includes the U.S. domestic rights for WWE Raw and multiple international deals rolled into Netflix.

On Thursday, Netflix held its third-quarter earnings call and provided an updated worldwide subscriber number of 283 million including 84.8 million subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

All WWE programming will migrate to Netflix in Canada beginning January 1.

This past quarter, Netflix released the six-episode “Mr. McMahon” series profiling the former chairman of WWE and the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct including those made by Janel Grant in a January 2024 lawsuit. The series was originally set to include WWE Studios but the company was quietly removed from holding any producer credits on the series, and there was no promotion of the series by WWE on its platforms.
