Anna Jay got the better of AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May in the main event of Battle of the Belts XII.

The match was a World Title eliminator match, meaning that Jay has earned a shot at May’s gold.

As the broadcast went off the air, Tony Schiavone announced that the match would take place on the November 2nd edition of AEW Collision. That show is scheduled for Licouras Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Jay grabbed the victory after countering a fireman’s carry into a crucifix roll-up for the pin.

She gave an interview for AEW’s social media channels after the show. In it, she said:

I think, five years ago, if you would have told me that I could beat the AEW Women’s World Champion, I might not know if that was possible. But now, before it even happened, I knew that I could do it — and I did it. Now I have a shot at the belt. This is what I’ve dreamed of. This is what I’ve worked towards. They always say sink or swim. I might not be the best professional wrestler, but I swim every damn time.
