WWE Raw scores largest audience since start of NFL season

Monday’s episode of Raw scored the show’s highest viewership since the start of the NFL season.

The October 21 episode from Philadelphia averaged 1,578,000 viewers and 684,000 viewers (0.51) in the 18-49 demographic, per Programming Insider & Wrestlenomics.

The audience rose by 3% while the 18-49 audience saw a 17% upswing from last week’s program and were Raw’s largest numbers in those categories since September 2 and August 26 respectively.

Raw ranked third among cable programs in prime time behind ESPN’s coverage of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Baltimore Ravens and its pre-game kickoff show. Raw topped everything on television except for the NFL on Monday in the core demographic.

The NFL game was simulcast across multiple networks including ABC where it averaged 7,565,000 viewers (1.41 in the 18-49 demographic), ESPN averaging 7,344,000 viewers (2.48 in 18-49), and ESPN 2 where it attracted 1,083,000 viewers (0.32 in the demo), as well as ESPN Deportes.

There was another game streaming exclusively on ESPN+ between the Arizona Cardinals and L.A. Chargers.

Raw averaged 1,608,000 viewers and 0.51 in the 18-49 demographic for the first hour and dropped by 4% to 1,547,000 viewers and 0.51 in the second hour.

In Canada, the show averaged 181,200 viewers and 75,100 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was down from 185,800 and 88,000 last week. This week’s program ranked fourth among sports programs behind the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning and the two Monday Night Football games.
