Maria Kanellis has provided an update after undergoing surgery on an adrenal gland mass.
Kanellis was admitted for surgery on Thursday and posted an update to social media as she and her sister prepared to travel to the hospital.
The surgery was to remove a mass of cells from the adrenal gland area, which will now be investigated via a biopsy. The results are expected in seven to ten days.
On Thursday night, her husband, AEW wrestler Mike Bennett, confirmed that the surgery had taken place and had gone well:
Maria’s surgery went well. She is staying overnight at the hospital for observation and should be released tomorrow. My wife is a badass.
Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. We love y’all so very much.

Maria’s latest update came on Friday afternoon. She stated that she may need to spend another night in hospital:
Hello all, I am still in the hospital. The surgery went well and my bloodwork looks good. We should have the biopsy results in 7-10 days to figure out exactly what the mass was. I like to call the mass Arnold. I may stay overnight one more night because I have nausea and a headache when standing which may be blood pressure related or something else. Everyone at Rush [Copley Medical Center] has been amazing and so kind.
Maria has dealt with several health issues of late, including thyroid surgery in February.
Everyone at POST Wrestling wishes Maria a speedy and full recovery.
