The Motor City Machine Guns have won the WWE Tag Team Titles on only their second TV appearance for the company.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were billed to take on DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for the number one contender’s spot on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

The Machine Guns were victorious in that match, which was billed as the main event of SmackDown. However, with around 15 minutes of the broadcast left, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and the current WWE Tag Team Champs Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa emerged.

Sikoa challenged Shelley & Sabin to their championship shot and the pair took up the opportunity.

As the other members of the New Bloodline interfered in the match, Jimmy Uso and then Roman Reigns came out to neutralize the threat.

To cap things off, Jey Uso appeared to see off the last of the New Bloodline threat, allowing the Machine Guns to get the title win with the Skull and Bones.
