Willow Nightingale suffered a concussion on Friday and has been pulled from two upcoming shows, according to CMLL.

Nightingale wrestled for CMLL on Friday at Arena Mexico in a 20-woman elimination tag match. The match, named the Grand Prix de Amazonas, pitted 10 Mexican luchadoras against 10 wrestlers representing the rest of the world.

She had been expected to perform on shows scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

A press release from CMLL stated:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

We regret to inform our loyal fans that AEW superstar Willow Nightingale will be unable to participate in both the Saturday event at Arena Coliseo and the Family Sunday event at Arena México as originally scheduled. This is due to a concussion she sustained during her participation in the Grand Prix de Amazonas. In accordance with the concussion protocol set by both CMLL and AEW, Willow will refrain from competing on both dates to ensure her full recovery and well-being.

For tonight’s event at El Embudo de Perú 77, CMLL Women’s World Champion Zeuxis will step in for Willow, while tomorrow at Arena México, CMLL Universal Champion Persephone will take her place in the ring.

We thank all our supporters for their understanding and assure you that these two champions will deliver the excitement and quality that characterizes our lucha libre.

See you at Arena Coliseo and Arena México to enjoy the Best Wrestling in the World!
