The on-site co-hosts for NXT Halloween Havoc were Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca and WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray. Throughout the night, there were several confrontations between Bully and Ridge Holland. Holland initiated both run-ins.
After Trick Williams retained his NXT Championship over Ethan Page in the main event, Holland and Page began to gang up on the champion. This led to Bully making the save for Williams.
Taking to Busted Open, Bully spoke in character about his decision to make the save for Williams and his run-ins with Holland. He added that Shawn Michaels extended the invitation to him to appear at the 10/29 NXT on CW.
Shawn (Michaels) actually invited me to go to NXT tomorrow. He’s like, ‘The door’s open if you ever wanna come. Door’s open.’ What I said last week: ‘How do you turn down the invitation to Halloween Havoc?’ And now if he says, ‘Hey, do you wanna come to NXT? The door’s open.’ Do I go? Do I address this with Ridge (Holland)? What would you do?
