** There’s a new interview with STARDOM President Taro Okada up on the Proresu-TODAY site. He shared that one of his goals is for STARDOM to run an event at the Tokyo Dome.

In the future, STARDOM would like to hold a women’s professional wrestling event at the Tokyo Dome as soon as possible.

** Joining The Lame Guys Podcast for a near hour-long conversation was Bobby Lashley. Looking back at the backend of his run with WWE, Lashley shared an idea he had for a program with GUNTHER. He wanted to toe the line of racial tension by having GUNTHER make a remark that ‘people’ like Lashley do not deserve a shot at his title. Lashley said the crowd would be allowed to let that sink in and when questioned about it, GUNTHER would clarify he’s talking about Lashley’s age.

When GUNTHER was rolling, I was like, man, it would have been cool and you know what? There was one thing I wanted to do with him and everybody would have been like, ooouuu, because if we were still The Hurt Business and I was like, I wanna roll up on him and I want GUNTHER to say, people like you don’t deserve a chance at my title, and people would have been like, what did he say? Because we would have towed that line, because if you think about the German… and then these Black dudes… Is there a little bit of racial tension a little bit there? We don’t even have to go there because we would have been like, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. What do you mean by people like you? He can be like, older guys in wrestling or something like that. But the crowd would have been like, uh! Did he say that? And then I was gonna say, I think you look familiar and do one of these (gesture of fixing GUNTHER’s mustache). There it is! But I don’t know if we could have went there but if we could have, it would’ve been the best. But there were so many things that you could kind of toe the line with and that could have been just a huge feud, huge feud; for The Hurt Business and them, The Hurt Business and The Bloodline. I think we dropped the ball on a lot of those things. It is what it is… But, if they’re not going that direction, they don’t have to go that direction but, I think we dropped the ball on a few of those.

Staying on the subject of the conclusion of his WWE run, Lashley feels he was being buried.

That’s when I got to the end of my career. I mean, when things changed and it was like I got pulled off of a lot of things and I was like, okay, you can pull me off but, I said just as long as I get a second on TV… Any time when I walked out, ‘Bobby! Bobby!’ The crowd went crazy. I was like, man, they’re trying to bury me as much as they can. Pull me off of WrestleMania the first time in my entire career. Just put me in the back where I was in the background just wearing a suit, doing nothing. I was like, all right, you guys can put me in the back and I wear a suit. I’m gonna get some slick ass suits to put on. I was like, any time you guys give me an ounce of time on TV, I’m gonna look like a fricking star and that’s what it’s about.

** As Bianca Belair was making the media rounds, she chatted with WESH 2 News. She expressed that she hopes WWE WrestleMania 41 will feature a women’s non-title singles match. Belair feels it would show how much the women’s division has grown and added that the men’s roster often get those opportunities.

I love that there’s more of a focus on the women’s roster because our roster is so stacked. We have so much talent across all three brands; Raw, NXT, SmackDown and you know, I feel like this year at WrestleMania, anyone could be at WrestleMania, put on a main event caliber match and that’s what’s really exciting about our women’s roster. We’ve always gone to WrestleMania and had title matches so I feel like for the first time this year, hopefully we’ll have a singles match that’s not a title match. We don’t necessarily need a title to put on a great match but, there’s so much talent and I love how it’s all being highlighted across all three brands and with me being a tag team right now, I love the fact that the tag team division, we’re able to highlight so many women at one time because our roster is so stacked and sometimes it’s like, listen, we just need the opportunity and we’re gonna show up and show out and I feel like we’re getting those opportunities now. It’s really exciting for the world to be able to see that.

I think that I would love to be a part of a match at WrestleMania that’s not a title match, just to show that the women’s roster has grown a lot. Where both women’s titles are being defended at WrestleMania, the Tag Team Titles are being defended at WrestleMania but we’re also having a match where it’s just a great storyline. There’s not a title involved. I feel like the men do it all the time and it would just show how much the roster is growing for women.

** Guest appearing on the Grue Rume Show was Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs. He stated the following when asked if he’ll do another horror movie to follow-up on his lead roles in the See No Evil films:

Probably not at this point (Jacobs responded when asked if he’ll do another horror movie). I’d say that it’s been so long that I’d say that’s not gonna happen.

** Dave LaGreca, Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer welcomed Harley Cameron onto Busted Open. She stated that it was cool to see fellow Australian ZARIA a.k.a. DELTA being spotlighted in the USA. She reached out to ZARIA.

Yes (I’ve wrestled ZARIA before) … Absolutely (the Australia wrestling scene is a hotbed). I think the Aussies are just doing so great. Wrestling’s so — it’s bigger than ever I feel right now and there’s so much opportunity and so much work and Australians are great right now. I think we’re really changing the game, you know what I mean? So it’s a good time for Aussies in wrestling and yes, I did wrestle her in Australia last year. It was so cool to see that she’s over here. I actually messaged her the other day and I was like… ‘I’ll show you the ropes. I’ll take you to Wawa, all the good stuff.’

** On the latest episode of WWE – Die Woche, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax expressed that she cannot wait for Asuka to return from her knee injury.

One of my toughest opponents has been Asuka… She’s incredibly strong and she’s incredibly explosive. She’s definitely a tough opponent. Love getting in the ring with her, love working with her. I can’t wait till she comes back. I hope we go head-to-head but Asuka’s one of my toughest.

** An interview with Scott D’Amore is up on Jim Varsallone’s YouTube channel. D’Amore told the story of when his mother would attend IMPACT/TNA Wrestling events and heels on the show would interact/trash talk her at ringside. There were times when a sign was hung up backstage to alert wrestlers not to use D’Amore’s mother as a prop in their matches.

The funny thing is my mother for years said, ‘I don’t like wrestling, but I go because my son’s a wrestler’ and then the first show that we promoted after I stopped wrestling, a couple days before the show, she goes, ‘Hey!’ Like Jeff or Jeffrey Scott or as he’s affectionately known in wrestling, Drumboy… she goes, ‘He never called me or anything about my tickets’ and I go, ‘Well why would you go to the show? I’m not wrestling.’ She goes, ‘Well I’m still going to the show…’ She has fun and she goes there and she hollers and screams… You got people like Bully (Ray) and Moose and Austin Aries and all these people over the years — we actually had to hang signs backstage, ‘No using Mrs. D. as a prop in your match.’

** There’s a video piece about YOH on New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s YouTube channel. He shared that while he was sidelined with his shoulder injuries, he watched DOUKI become IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. He is happy for DOUKI and mentioned that the champion looked after him in Mexico, but he’s still coming after the title.

I did watch on NJPW WORLD — I was really happy for DOUKI (becoming IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion). He really looked after me in Mexico. We trained a lot together and I’ve always wanted to wrestle him in the topflight. I really respect what DOUKI’s done, but I’ve never had a singles belt, so I will be going after his title.

** Giulia took to X and highlighted that it’s been seven years since her in-ring debut. Here’s her post:
