Orange Challenges Moxley

The show starts with footage after last week’s Dynamite where the Blackpool Combat Club attacked Chuck Taylor, but it gets cut off right away by Orange Cassidy who heads to the ring with a microphone. Orange says he doesn’t do this as this isn’t who he is, and says he is no leader, that’s not what he is. After last week, when he watched his best friend Chuck Taylor get his neck crushed by a steel chair, he looked around and was surrounded by the people he shouldn’t have been. He admires their courage but they are very young as they are the future of AEW and they have no idea of the danger they are in and how dangerous Jon Moxley so he knows right then and there what he needs to do. If Moxley has his way, there is no future AEW and they have no place to go. He says Moxley needed AEW, while he does and he doesn’t exist without AEW. He needs to stop this and cut the head off the snake and make sure nobody else gets hurt, and he will do it himself, protecting everybody by challenging Moxley for the AEW World Championship, and he will take it out of his bag and put it in his backpack and tells Moxley to let him know, as he’s not hard to find.

Terrible Questions

We see Mercedes Mone’ & Kamille walking in the back before Renee Paquette stops them and asks Mercedes for a prediction in Kamille’s match tonight against Kris Statlander. Mercedes says she hates terrible questions, and Statlander doesn’t hold a candle to Kamille. Mercedes gets offended at Renee saying ‘good luck’ and says you don’t need luck when you’re with the CEO.

Adam Cole vs. Buddy Matthews

This is a first-time matchup and Adam Cole’s first match since All Out 2023 last September. Commentary mentions that Cole is wearing new boots and how that could affect him. Buddy Matthews taunts Cole in the beginning that this is the ‘new Adam Cole’ and tells him to “bring it.” They trade off shoulder blocks, before Cole teases hitting the super kick but stops short, as commentary mentions this might be due to his injury. Cole drops off the apron and immediately acts as if his ankle is injured, as we see Kyle O’Reilly watching on from the back. He stays there for a while trying to work through it before Buddy takes him out with a kick off the apron, sending us to picture-in-picture.

We return just in time to see a superplex from Buddy, but Cole holds on and hits a brainbuster. They fight on the apron before Cole hits a DDT and they both go spilling to the outside. Back inside, Cole hits a Heatseeker for a two-count. Buddy blocks a Panama Sunrise attempt and goes right after Cole’s injured ankle, stomping on it against the steel steps before the referee intervenes. Dr. Michael Sampson checks in on Cole as well, and Bryce Rembusrg waves off the fans doing the count-out for him. Sampson starts bringing Cole to the back, as Buddy gets on the mic and says this is what he means by saying Cole is fragile, as the old Adam Cole wouldn’t just walk away, while the new Adam Cole is a little bitch. This causes Cole to limp his way back to the ring and go after Buddy. Cole lures Buddy in and hits him with a pair of super kicks, but falls when pulling his knee pad down. Buddy, who has the crowd fully behind him, hits a stomp for a two-count. Buddy grabs the white towel from Sampson and tells Cole to throw it in. Cole instead throws it in Buddy’s face and hits him with more super kicks, before hitting a running knee for two. The crowd keeps chanting for Buddy, as Cole tries a Panama Sunrise just to get hit with a knee strike, buckle powerbomb, and another stomp, but Cole kicks out at one. MJF is seen watching on from an undisclosed location. Cole stops Buddy with another superkick and hits the Panama Sunrise, just for Buddy to spill to the outside where Cole hits him with another Sunrise. Cole tosses Buddy back inside and hits The Boom to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Adam Cole by pinfall at 15:28

Cole gets on the mic and appreciates Buddy for what he did by reminding him who the real Adam Cole is and for that he thanks him. Cole puts his hand out as Buddy gives the handshake back. The lights go out, just to come back on as Malakai Black is in Buddy’s place, giving Cole a handshake as the crowd chants ‘Holy shit’.

History Won’t Repeat Itself

Renee is in the back with Private Party & Christopher Daniels, as Daniels brings up him and Frankie Kazarian being in this same position years ago. That night, he let Kazarian down and things weren’t the same after that, and Kazarian isn’t even there anymore. He tells Private Party to think about what they are risking tonight, as Quen & Zay say they got this and history won’t repeat itself.

One Down, Two To Go

We see Cole getting checked out by medical in the back with The Undisputed Kingdom there. Cole says it looks like Malakai Black is next on his radar, but he addresses MJF by saying he doesn’t blame him for shattering his ankle and never checking up on him when he was injured. Guys like Cole & MJF are meant to be enemies, not friends, and he starts giving examples of what MJF did to Wardlow, Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia. This isn’t his first rodeo, and MJF needed to be taught a hard lesson, and he cares about what AEW was built on and MJF has never been a part of that team and never will be. He swears that he and The Undisputed Kingdom will get his hands on MJF at Full Gear, and he’ll be happy to team MJF another lesson.

Aussie Closed

Don Callis & Kyle Fletcher with his new look, come out to the ramp as Callis says Fletcher has something important to say. Fletcher says he is a man of his word and is here to call out Will Ospreay, which he does. Fletcher calls him out a couple of times, but no music and no Ospreay. Fletcher says he’s just as disappointed as everybody else, but before he can continue, we hear Aussie Open’s music as Mark Davis makes his way out. Fletcher says it’s not the man he was expecting but it’s good to see him, but as he goes in for a hug, Davis stops him. Davis says that Fletcher is calling out Ospreay when he knows well that Ospreay is laid out at home for what he did to him. Davis says he doesn’t even know who he’s looking at, as Fletcher says the only thing that’s changed is him opening his eyes to the truth, by seeing Ospreay for who he truly is. Fletcher says Ospreay has forgotten about him, but he never has and said he would always have a spot in The Don Callis Family. Davis said they had a United Empire, and Fletcher destroyed it as he started walking away. Fletcher stops him and says there is going to come a day when Davis will have to make a hard decision and he’s proven before that he has no problem cutting the past loose.

No Such Thing As Redemption

Renee is in the back with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page as Page says he hurt Jay White so bad that he spent three months at home and when he comes back, he made a mistake looking for him and not the championship. Page mentions their 4-1 record against each other, and says there is no such thing as redemption, as there are only wins, losses, and the consequences that follow. He says White doesn’t know what his strategy will be at Full Gear and mentions using a chair, strangling his friends, lighting his house on fire, or breaking his ankle again. One certain thing is that he will stand over him with his hand raised and he will leave White behind.

Who’s Pulling The Strings?

We see the Blackpool Combat Club making their way through the halls before we head to a commercial break. When we return, they head to the ring as Marina Shafir has the mystery briefcase with her. Jon Moxley says one day Orange Cassidy will understand what they are trying to do, as the crowd thinks Orange challenged Moxley, but he’s the one who challenged Orange by having Chuck Taylor’s neck broken. He cut some dead weight out of his life, so Orange can focus on his goals. Everybody pointed to Orange for being their guy, but he didn’t want to be a leader. He’s pushed Orange and if he wants Moxley, then that’s fine, but when that happens he will fight in the valley, not the mountaintop, and Orange better be ready to die. Moxley says Orange is a ‘cool customer’ and thinks he pulling the strings, but says let’s see about that now.

PAC & Shafir go to hold Wheeler Yuta down as Claudio Castagnoli goes and grabs a chair and sticks Yuta’s head in it. Cassidy runs out and goes after Moxley, just for Claudio & PAC to take him down and attack him. Yuta joins in and starts kicking away at Orange before The Dark Order runs out to fight them off. They take it outside of the ring as the BCC destroys Orange & Dark Order with chairs. They place Orange’s head in a chair, as Darby Allin descends from the rafters and starts attacking BCC. Claudio sends Darby into the commentary table, before Top Flight, Daniel Garcia, Private Party & Lio Rush run out and join in on the fight. They take it into the crowd, as The Young Bucks music hits as they come out for their match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) (c) vs. Private Party (Zay & Quen)

Nicholas Jackson & Zay start the match, with the stipulation that if Private Party loses, they must break up. They go back and forth before getting into each other’s faces, as Matthew Jackson tags himself in as they double team on Zay. Zay tags out as all four men go at it, with Quen hitting a double hurricanrana. Zay jumps off Quen’s back to take out The Young Bucks on the outside. They fight on the outside for a bit, as Matthew grabs the ring bell, but gets it taken away from Quen before he can use it on Zay. Quen goes to hit Matthew with it, but he ducks and Quen takes out Zay with it instead by accident. The Young Bucks stay in control, as Nicholas is punching away at Quen in the ring while Matthew launches a bloody Zay into the steel steps. Quen this time dodges, as Nicholas kicks Matthew by accident. Matthew hits a superplex on Quen for a two, and Nicholas hits a Falcon Arrow on the outside to Zay as we head to picture-in-picture.

We come back just in time to see Zay get a hot tag and take out Young Bucks with a double dropkick. Double superkicks from Private Party before they hit double 450 Splashes for a two-count. All four go at it in the ring until Quen gets sent to the outside, but he runs in to break up the pin attempt after the Bucks hit Risky Business. Quen starts hitting a couple of dives to the Bucks on both sides of the ring but gets taken out by a Doomsday Device off the apron. The Bucks drag Quen to the top of the ramp where Kazuchika Okada is there to take him out with a Tombstone as the Bucks are distracting Rick Knox. Bucks put Zay on the corner and hit their version of Gin & Juice that Excalibur calls ‘Milk & Cookies’. They start hitting super kicks on Zay, but he kicks out at two. They set up the EVP Trigger, but Zay collapses as the Bucks collide with each other. They stay on top of Zay and do hit the EVP Trigger, but Zay still kicks out. Nicholas hits Zay with the V Trigger before Matthew hits him with the One Winged Angel, but Quen runs in at the very last moment to break it up. Private Party takes control as they hit the Gin & Juice to get the pin and the win.

Winners: Private Party (Zay & Quen) by pinfall at 18:07, to become NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions.

The Bucks hesitate at first, before giving their titles over to Private Party showing a sign of respect.

They make it official for AEW Full Gear, for Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy.

Wiping The Floor

Renee is in the back with Jamie Hayter & Penelope Ford, as Ford says she’s been here since day one and many people have forgotten who he is, including Hayter. She talks about all the things she’s been through and after two years, she’ll take what he deserves. Hayter tells Ford she’s lucky there’s no physicality tonight, but next week not so much as she’ll wipe the floor with her.

The Nueve

We go to The Learning Tree by the ramp, as Big Bill starts talking about teamwork work meaning working together. Chris Jericho mentions this being the night before Halloween and mentions that Dave Meltzer gave 4 stars to last week’s Ladder War and became a two-time ROH World Champion just like Jay Briscoe. He mentions becoming the ‘nueve’ with the help of Bill & Bryan Keith before calling this city ‘Cincinnati’ to boos. He mentions being in the Terrifier 3 and says he will take ROH to the biggest stage and success it’s ever seen because he’s Chris Jericho and he can.

We get a video package for Mariah May & Anna Jay ahead of their AEW Women’s World Championship match this Saturday on Collision.

Shredding Documents

Jack Perry stops Alex Marvez from trying to get a word with the Young Bucks before Daniel Garcia corners Perry and asks him where he was tonight. Perry makes a comment that Garcia used to dance for him, before Perry walks into The Elite’s locker room as they are shredding documents and say that they have to go.

Kamille (w/ Mercedes Mone’) vs. Kris Statlander

They start the match testing each other and running the ropes, before Kamille takes Kris Statlander down hard with a shoulder block. Statlander gets back up, but Kamille goes right back in control, taking down Statlander with a clothesline as we head to picture-in-picture.

We come back, as Statlander hits a big power slam and face plant for a two, before heading to the top rope, but misses the 450 Splash. Kamille comes right back with a guillotine leg drop for two, followed by a Torture Rack powerbomb for another two as Mercedes Mone’ looks concerned on the outside. Kamille goes for a Tombstone, but Statlander quickly reverses it and hits the Night Fever for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kris Statlander by pinfall at 6:28

As soon as the match is over, Mercedes runs in and takes out Statlander with a title belt. Mercedes yells at Kamille to head to the back and says when you want something done right, you do it yourself.

Olive Branch

We go to The Patriarchy in the back, with their newest member Kip Sabian, as Christian Cage says he wants to extend an olive branch to Hook for next week’s Dynamite where he can explain himself.

Fight Without Honor

Renee is in the back with The Conglomeration as Mark Briscoe asks when Chris Jericho bumped his head and doesn’t care about his wellbeing, because he let his brother’s name come out his dirty mouth again and he will make him pay, and suggests a match with himself, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii against The Learning Tree next Wednesday in a Fight Without Honor match.

Things Are Just Getting Good

We see the Young Bucks quickly leaving the arena before Christopher Daniels stops them and says they need them. The Bucks said this place is too chaotic and they will be working from home. We see Brandon Cutler running after their car with a box of shoes, but he gets taken out by the Blackpool Combat Club. Daniels tries to stop him, but he gets held down by Moxley as Claudio Castagnoli attacks Cutler’s hand with a hammer. Moxley says things are just getting good and asks Daniels where ‘his boys went’.

Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Shelton Benjamin (w/ MVP)

Right away, Swerve Strickland takes control and sends Shelton Benjamin down with headscissors as Prince Nana gets the crowd behind Swerve. Benjamin comes right back, by sending Swerve to the outside with a belly-to-belly suplex. Shelton starts tossing Swerve into the barricade, before sending him back inside where he just tosses Swerve up and down like it’s easy. Shelton stays in control, taking Swerve back outside with a knee as we head to picture-in-picture.

Upon return, Shelton fights out of a Boston Crab attempt, before Swerve fights him in the corner and hits him with an uppercut to the back of the head before taking him out on the outside with a kick off the apron. Swerve follows with a missile dropkick for two, as Excalibur has a tough time trying to juggle the action in the ring with the matches for weeks show. No worries, I’ll have them listed below. Swerve breaks free from Shelton, and starts kicking and chopping away before they take each other down with a double super kick. Swerve gets right back up with a House Call before hitting a 450 Splash for two. They continue before they take each other down as the crowd starts an AEW chant. Swerve heads to the top rope, as Shelton joins, just for Swerve to escape and hit a Liger Bomb, followed by the Swerve Stomp to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland by pinfall at 14:36

Bobby Lashley Arrives

MVP is seen making a phone call on his cell as commentary wonders who he’s calling. The lights go out for a second, and when they turn on we hear some unfamiliar music as Bobby Lashley comes out, making his debut to a big ovation. Lashley gets in Swerve’s face with a ‘Holy shit’ chant, but as Shelton gets on the apron and distracts Swerve, Lashley takes out Swerve. Lashley & Shelton attack Swerve, as MVP holds down Prince Nana with his cane before he gets taken out by Shelton with a kick. Lashley puts Swerve in the Hurt Lock as security comes out to try and stop them, just to get taken out. MVP gets on the mic and says ‘Guess who’s back in business’, to end the show.
