Liger states that he’s too old.

From January 31st-February 4th, 2025, the Chris Jericho Cruise is going to sail from Miami, Florida to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and back. Jericho is the ‘Master of Ceremonies’ and his guests of honor will be Scott Steiner, Jushin Thunder Liger and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler.

Liger was joined by Sonny Onoo for an interview with the Grue Rume Show. While speaking about the Jericho Cruise, Onoo revealed that Liger was asked to wrestle on it. Liger chimed in and said he’s too old.

Onoo: They asked him to have a match. You know that, right? They asked him to have a wrestling match on a cruise.

Liger: I am too old!

Liger wrapped up his in-ring career in 2020 on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14. He teamed with Naoki Sano to take on Hiromu Takahashi and Dragon Lee. Back in 1984, Liger’s second match ever was against Sano.

He is 59 years old and regularly appears on commentary for New Japan.
