Morgan said she knew exactly what the writer meant.

There are four title defenses on Liv Morgan’s WWE Women’s World Championship résumé. Coming up at Crown Jewel, she’ll be facing WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax to determine the first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Ahead of that match and her face-to-face with Jax airing on the 11/1 SmackDown, Morgan guest appeared on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast

She looked back at when the shift in her on-screen presentation began. When she was still sporting her Riott Squad look, a writer told her it was time for her character to grow up and mature. Morgan said she knew the writer was right and agreed with her point.

Yeah (I have say in what my on-screen character looks like)… The only time someone’s ever told me, aesthetically, was when I was very modest and kind of got to ‘grown-up Liv;’ what I was speaking about before. It’s the only time I’ve ever been told, like, ‘Hey, let’s change our look a little bit…’ It was just a female writer that was like, ‘We’re thinking maybe… Just grow up a little bit. Grow up a little bit.’ I was like, ‘Okay. I know what that means.’ But I think it was right, I think it was right. I was very chaotic Liv, Riott Squad, blue tongue, pink hair. She needed to mature and grow and so…

Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez appeared on the 10/29 NXT on CW and ambushed Rhea Ripley in the parking lot. As a result, Ripley is out of action with a fractured right orbital socket.
