Brody King believes fellow House of Black member Julia Hart’s growth as an entertainer has only just begun.

At just 22 years old, Hart has already done a lot in wrestling. Last year, she went through a character transformation when she ditched a cheerleader gimmick to become House of Black’s “gothic powerhouse,” as King would describe. She has fought on numerous major pay-per-view cards and even had a title reign, and continues to appear frequently on national TV through AEW.

Hart has come a long way, but many believe there’s still so much more for her to do. King spoke about Hart’s progression over the past few years in a recent interview with WRESTLESPHERE.

“I think you see a completely different performer in general,” said King, when comparing the Hart of a few years back to now. “You’ve seen someone completely come out of their shell and mature into the performer that they are today. I don’t think anybody would have thought that the bubbly little cheerleader would have been this gothic powerhouse, coming in with fire and the crazy hat and all that stuff. It’s night and day of what she started with and what she is now, and I think whether she’s the same Julia her entire career or that changes, I think it shows range and I think it shows what she can evolve into as a competitor and as an entertainer.”

When asked what Hart can do later in her career, King had high hopes. He expressed that Hart has the potential to be a big deal in wrestling, or even go on to pursue acting opportunities beyond the squared circle.

“She’s 22 years old, I think that the future is literally endless for her. She’s athletic, she has the full package of what you would want in a professional wrestler, even if she wanted to translate that to film or to TV, she’s got it all.”
