Bill Goldberg has said his retirement match will take place in WWE in 2025.

Goldberg was speaking as part of the SEC ESPN coverage of the Florida vs. Georgia college football match. Gunther seems to be the prime candidate for his opponent, with no date yet announced.

Asked about his confrontation with Gunther at WWE Bad Blood, Goldberg said:

Here’s the deal, and here’s the news of the day. The news of the day is, per three executives, Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul Levesque, in 2025, Goldberg’s having his retirement. I think we know who the subject or the victim, probably the front runner right now, we know who it is [points at footage of Gunther]. 2025, Goldberg makes his return/retirement match. I got a couple of months to get ready. No date, no time, so we’ll see.
