POST Wrestling Café – November Menu: “Death Warrior”, TNA Turning Point ’09, Power Struggle

It’s a new month at the POST Wrestling Café, and we want to let everyone know about the lineup in November.

NJPW has two major shows in the month beginning with Power Struggle this Monday followed by Historic X-Over II on November 17 and we will have reviews of each by Bruce Lord & Karen Peterson for members of the POST Wrestling Café.

Power Struggle includes Zack Sabre Jr. defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shingo Takagi.

Historic X-Over II features Mayu Iwatani vs. Momo Watanabe for the IWGP Women’s Championship, an Intergender match for the KOPW Championship between Great O-Khan and Suzu Suzuki, and more from NJPW & Stardom.

John Pollock & Wai Ting will host two editions of Rewind-A-Wai with listener-submitted picks from Brandon in New Jersey & Robbie Ellinor.

Rewind-A-Wai #169 will be released on November 14 with a review of the film Death Warrior with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson”, Georges St. Pierre, Rashad Evans & Keith Jardine making appearances.

A gritty MMA fighter is forced into an underground gambling ring in which he must fight to save his wife from death by a crime boss. He fights in increasingly violent life-and-death matches while trying to find out the identity of the promoter until the final showdown in which there is only one Death Warrior.

Due to the pain of watching this film, we are making Brandon join us for the entirety of the review.

On November 28, we will return with Rewind-A-Wai #170 and a look back at TNA Turning Point 2009 featuring AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels in a rematch of their legendary three-way match. Plus, Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe, Bobby Lashley vs. Scott Steiner, and Tara vs. Awesome Kong in a Steel Cage Match.

This show is the last pay-per-view before the introduction of Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff and just weeks before its live three-hour special airing against Raw.

Plus: All members of the POST Wrestling Café will have instant access to our monthly ASK-A-WAI Mailbag Show, weekly Rewind-A-SmackDown & Collision Course shows, and ad-free editions of Rewind-A-Raw & Rewind-A-Dynamite, updates directly sent your inbox & more.
