SmackDown ranks #2 on Friday night, AEW Rampage hits lowest numbers ever

Friday Night SmackDown aired a taped episode and held onto its audience while AEW Rampage to the show’s lowest figures in history.

The November 1 episode of SmackDown, taped the week prior in Brooklyn, averaged 1,428,000 viewers and 568,000 viewers (0.42) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics & Programming Insider.

The show’s audience grew by 1% while the demo audience dropped by 1% from the previous week’s live edition, yet, this past Friday’s show ranked second among all programming that night. It trailed the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets, which averaged 1,396,000 viewers and 0.47 in the demo on ESPN.

SmackDown topped the earlier game between the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers (912,000 viewers and 0.30), and College Football on FS1 (656,000 and 0.16) as well as network programming.

In Canada, SmackDown ranked second among sports programming on Friday with 285,900 viewers and 131,100 viewers in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which were increases of 32% and 62% respectively from last week. The show topped all sports that night except the Toronto Raptors vs. L.A. Lakers.

AEW Rampage took a major hit averaging 156,000 viewers and 67,000 viewers (0.05) in the 18-49 demographic, which would be the lowest numbers in the show’s history going back to August 2021, per Programming Insider.

The audience decline was 29% with the show ranking #28 among prime-time cable programming on Friday. The show aired against the Timberwolves vs. Nuggets and two college football games.

The 18-49 audience drop was 42% from the previous week’s episode.

Rampage was headlined by Komander beating Lio Rush.
