Steph De Lander praises TNA’s creative opportunities, says Indi Hartwell should join

Steph De Lander believes TNA could be a good landing spot for Indi Hartwell, who was released by WWE just last week.

De Lander, a fellow former WWE talent, related her past experience with the promotion to Hartwell in a recent interview. She told The Commentary Booth about the “helpless” feeling of not receiving major opportunities in a promotion, as not all talents can be pushed equally.

“I think you, as the talent, can work really hard, but sometimes if you are not in a position to succeed, you will not succeed,” she said. “I was in that position with NXT. I think Indi has felt that way in certain scenarios when she’s not being featured on television or whatever else. Almost every wrestler can relate to a period in their career where they’ve felt like that. It can be a helpless feeling, not having any sort of control on that front. But on the other side when you look at it, so much can change in a short period of time if a company does believe in you, if a person does believe in you.:

De Lander went on to explain how she has enjoyed her ability to pitch and test out ideas in TNA, and how she believes the promotion would accept Hartwell with open arms if she wanted to join.

“I’m working at a place where I feel appreciated, I feel valued, I feel like my ideas are heard. I often times will have creative conversations with Tommy Dreamer on the phone and we’re spitballing ideas. That’s a relationship I’ve never had with any writers or bookers or anyone like that before. You can pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch, but if it’s always falling on deaf ears, it’s like how much can you spin that wheel? TNA is great for that, and if Indi wanted to do that, I’m sure there would be a place for her there.”
