Ricochet is back in NJPW and wants the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.

Headlining NJPW Power Struggle was Zack Sabre Jr.’s second defense of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. It was Shingo Takagi challenging him.

Sabre Jr. held onto the title and retained over the reigning NEVER Openweight Champion. For his post-match remarks, Sabre Jr. said it’s time to get to business and who will be next to challenge him.

Out came Shota Umino and the Osaka crowd booed him. Umino said Sabre Jr. can choose the place and time. After that exchange, Ricochet returned to New Japan and ambushed Zack Sabre Jr. with a springboard clothesline. He congratulated Sabre Jr. for his recent accomplishments and then issued a title match challenge for Wrestle Dynasty at the Tokyo Dome on January 5th.

Ricochet was about to take Sabre Jr. out with his version of the ‘Hidden Blade,’ but Umino made the save and the crowd booed him again. Sabre Jr. tossed Umino out of the ring, so Umino jumped back in and hit him with a Death Rider.

In Umino’s backstage comments, he said Ricochet is irrelevant. He brought up Ricochet arguing with fans online.

Sabre Jr. accepted the challenge from Ricochet in his backstage comments. As for Shota Umino, he said the New Japan office can decide where that match will take place.
