Taiyo Kea’s retirement match taking place at Giant Baba Memorial Show in January 2025

The 2025 Giant Baba Memorial Show is scheduled for January 31st.

Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan is playing host to the 2025 Giant Baba Memorial Show. January 31st of next year will mark 26 years since Baba passed away.

The memorial show is taking place on 1/31/25 and it’ll feature Taiyo Kea’s retirement match. He’ll be tagging with MAZADA and Minoru Suzuki to take on Naomichi Marufuji, Jun Akiyama and Satoshi Kojima.

Kea has tallied up 29 years as a pro wrestler. He began his career in 1994 with All Japan. In the years following, he made his way through New Japan, NOAH and DDT Pro-Wrestling. As of this writing, the last time Kea was in action was in 2023 for All Japan.

He is a seven-time AJPW World Tag Team Champion in addition to holding the company’s World Junior Heavyweight and Triple Crown Titles. While in New Japan, Kea captured the IWGP Tag Titles with Keiji Muto a.k.a. The Great Muta.
