Grayson Waller: I can’t remember where MCMG worked before WWE; I think it was Micro Championship Wrestling

Waller cracks his jokes, but also credits MCMG.

In their second week on WWE television, Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) captured the WWE Tag Team Championships

Their quick ascension within the tag ranks was discussed by Grayson Waller, who’s paired with Austin Theory as A-Town Down Under. Waller guest appeared on The Mason Crosby Show and joked that he cannot remember where M.C.M.G. worked prior to WWE.

He made a crack on their size and said they came from Micro Championship Wrestling. Waller then went on to give Shelley and Sabin their credit.

It’s extremely frustrating (that Motor City Machine Guns are the WWE Tag Team Champions) but you know, you have to understand, those guys have been doing it for 20 years. They’ve been a tag team for a very long time. I can’t remember where they worked. I think it was Micro Championship Wrestling. I think that’s where they were, judging by the size of them… But these are two guys that have been very good for a very long time and as much maybe as I don’t like that they’ve just been walking in the door and taking our Tag Team Championships, I can understand what they’ve done in the past to get to this stage. But these are very bright lights and I’m very interested to see how long they can hang doing that because I think the Tag Team Championships should be around the waists of superstars. Not wrestlers like the Motor City Machine Guns.

The duo of Shelley and Sabin picked up a win over Waller and Theory on the 11/8 SmackDown. Next up for M.C.M.G. is a tag title defense against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) on 11/15.
