SKY moved tickets for the promotion.

During the month of July, WWE’s IYO SKY traveled to Japan and she competed for Rossy Ogawa’s Dream Star Fighting Marigold promotion.

IYO took on Utami Hayashishita at the Summer Destiny special. There were a total of 3,058 people in attendance inside Ryōgoku Sumo Hall for the show.

Marigold founder Rossy Ogawa was interviewed by Yoshinori Yamaguchi of Proresu-TODAY and revealed that when SKY was announced for Summer Destiny, 700 tickets were sold in one day.

When we announced that IYO (SKY) was going to be there, there was a huge rush and 700 tickets were sold in one day.

Headlining the aforementioned Summer Destiny card was Giulia versus Sareee to crown the first-ever Marigold World Champion.

Giulia made her official WWE debut a month and a half later at NXT No Mercy. Ogawa said since the launch of Marigold, it was known that Giulia would be departing the promotion, but when exactly was not locked in.

It was already decided from the beginning, so it was just a matter of when the time came (Ogawa said of Giulia’s future when Marigold launched). However, the time hadn’t been confirmed, so it started to get earlier and earlier, like maybe it would be October, or maybe it would be September.

As for Marigold’s future, the promotion is going to be in Las Vegas, Nevada in April 2025. Also, the venue is booked for their one-year anniversary show in May of next year.
