New Japan Pro Wrestling and STARDOM teamed up for their second Historic X-Over event on Sunday.

The show, copromoted by the two Bushiroad-owned companies, took place at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium. It has been two years since the event debuted in November 2022 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

The main event of the show saw IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. team with 5 Star Grand Prix 2024 winner Maika to defeat El Desperado and Starlight Kid in a mixed tag match. Maika scored the pinfall over Starlight Kid for the win.

The co-main event featured IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani successfully defending her title against Momo Watanabe. After the match, Iwatani announced that she would defend the championship at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th.

AZM then came out to stake a claim as challenger.

In the only other championship match on the card, Great-O-Khan held onto his King of Pro Wrestling Championship in a hardcore intergender match with Suzu Suzuki. This featured tables, chairs and the use of staplers by both competitors.
