Cathy Kelley: I think it’s a little bit of a detriment that we don’t have Stephanie McMahon in WWE full-time right now

Elsewhere in the interview, Kelley mentioned other aspirations she wants to achieve in the wrestling space.

In past media appearances since returning to WWE in 2022, Cathy Kelley credited Stephanie McMahon and Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque for being the reason(s) why she ended up making her way back to the company.

Praise was heaped onto Stephanie by Cathy as she was guest appearing on B4theBell. Kelly talked about McMahon advocating for women in WWE and feels it’s a little bit of a detriment that she’s not with the company full-time.

She (Stephanie McMahon) really is an advocate for so many women. She’s not THE advocate, but she is an advocate for so many women and she is so versatile in everything that she has accomplished and has been able to do throughout her career so, I think it’s a little bit of a detriment that we don’t have her there full-time right now but, God, I love her so much.

I’ve talked about this before. She is the reason I came back. We had multiple conversations before I came back and she is the one that really encouraged me to come back and — it was her being at the helm. It was her and Triple H and they really took care of me the first time that I was there. We talked about NXT and so many of the things that Hunter implemented during that time I think are now bleeding over into Raw and SmackDown and we’re really, as fans, getting to reap the benefits of that.

As it relates to Kelley’s backstage interviewer/show host roles, it was mentioned that former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin expressed that she wanted to venture into managing.

Kelley was asked if there’s other roles she’d like to take on and she expressed interest in becoming a manager.

I would definitely be open to managing if it is the right pairing, and that is something that I would love to grow into whether that’s, you know, tomorrow, whether that’s a decade down the line because I do really see myself involved in WWE, in wrestling, in some way throughout my entire career.

Kelley is a member of the Monday Night Raw broadcast team along with Joe Tessitore, Wade Barrett, Jackie Redmond and Lilian Garcia.
