The celebration did not end well.
There was a non-in-ring segment at AEW Full Gear and it was a champagne championship celebration featuring Mina Shirakawa and the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May.
Towards the end of it, Mariah stated that it was time for the two to dance together and while Shirakawa had her back turned, May grabbed a champagne bottle. Before she could hit her from behind, Shirakawa turned around and then ducked the bottle.
May spit on Shirakawa which led to Mina tackling her off the stage. Mina was bleeding from the right side of her mouth and she kissed May, who was laid out after going through a table.
