AEW Full Gear media scrum notes: Mercedes Moné expected for Wrestle Dynasty, Tony Khan wants Big Boom AJ back, Private Party

After the pay-per-view portion of AEW Full Gear came to a close, the show transitioned over to the media scrum. Below are highlights from several of the scrum sessions that took place featuring TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, Big Boom/Costco Guy A.J. and the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Private Party.

Mercedes Moné & Tony Khan

  • Moné is hoping HBO Max creates a championship that she can win.
  • States that people can expect her to be at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th.

Big Boom A.J. & Tony Khan

  • Khan spoke about the popularity of A.J. and Big Justice. He had a great time doing media with them.
  • A.J. says the idea for the match with Q.T. Marshall came together quickly. It was Sonjay Dutt and Q.T. that reached out to him to be at All Out and that led to their match coming to fruition.
  • Khan wants A.J. to come back to AEW. A.J. is interested in wrestling a few times a year for AEW.
  • Khan shares that people he’s known for years, that have never tuned into AEW, started messaging him when they found out A.J., Big Justice and The Rizzler would be involved.

Private Party (Zay & Quen) and Tony Khan

  • Zay & Quen open up about Black representation and how much it means to them to see younger kids look at them like how they looked at an MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin growing up.
