Game Changer Wrestling has begun rolling out match announcements for its return to the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The People vs. GCW is set for Sunday, January 19, three years after its first event in the building.

This past weekend, GCW ran two events in New Jersey with ‘Dream On’ and Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII with several match announcements made.

The following have been added to the January 19 event:
*GCW Tag Team Titles: Violence is Forever (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) vs. Gahbage Daddies (Cole Radrick & Alec Price)
*GCW Ultraviolent Title – DLC Match: John Wayne Murdoch vs. Drew Parker vs. Brandon Kirk vs. Matt Tremont vs. TBA vs. TBA
*El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Sidney Akeem
*Josh Barnett vs. TBA

The latest update from WrestleTix lists 681 tickets distributed for the card with the January 2022 event at the building drawing a sellout of 2,025.

GCW took the unique tact of marketing its return to the Hammerstein Ballroom on the perceived disappointment of the last show. While selling out the building and generating a lot of interest, the show was seen as a missed opportunity with a lot of criticism regarding its quality and various booking decisions.

Since putting tickets on sale, AEW has announced three straight nights at the Hammerstein Ballroom from December 20-22 with its ROH Final Battle pay-per-view, a live edition of Collision, and a Dynamite taping.

GCW’s event will also air head-to-head on January 19 with TNA Genesis.

WrestleTix reports that Final Battle has distributed 868 tickets, Collision has 951 tickets out, and Dynamite has moved 1,028 as of Saturday.
