The fallout from Conor McGregor’s civil suit has begun with a popular video game franchise distancing itself from the fighter.

IO Interactive has cut ties with McGregor and announced on Monday it is ending McGregor’s relationship with the Hitman franchise:

In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today.

McGregor’s image and likeness were incorporated into the Hitman: World of Assassination game where the fighter was depicted as “The Disruptor” and featured in the game’s trailer.

Last Friday, McGregor was found civilly liable in a civil case where he was accused of raping Nikita Hand at a hotel in December 2018. McGregor has been ordered to pay approximately $250,000 U.S. in damages.

McGregor continues to deny the claims and indicated he would be appealing the decision.

The UFC has not commented since the verdict was rendered nor has BKFC where McGregor is a part owner.

McGregor has not fought since July 2021.
