On the night before U.S. Thanksgiving, AEW Dynamite fell to the show’s lowest 18-49 audience in its regular time slot.

The November 27 show from Chicago averaged 536,000 viewers and 205,000 viewers (0.15) in the 18-49 demographic to rank fourth on cable in prime time, per Wrestlenomics.

The show aired live coast-to-coast, which was going to impact its West Coast viewership by airing at 5 p.m. in those markets as opposed to prime time on TBS.

The show ranked fourth on cable in prime time behind the New York Knicks vs. Dallas Mavericks on ESPN, North Carolina vs. Michigan State on ESPN2, and Gutfeld on Fox News.

Dynamite saw a 19% drop in its overall viewership and lowest audience since November 6 when it aired head-to-head with NXT on CW Network with the ECW-themed episode.

AEW also experienced a 24% decline in the 18-49 audience and was the lowest key demo audience in the history of the show in its regular slot. From last week, males dropped from 182,000 to 142,000 and women declined from 80,000 to 63,000 viewers.

Adults 18-34 averaged 51,000 viewers and 35-49 averaged 154,000 viewers.

To compare, last year’s show on Thanksgiving Eve averaged 845,000 viewers with 337,000 in the 18-49 demographic, and 114,000 in the 18-34 demo.

On TSN 2 in Canada, Dynamite averaged 62,000 viewers and 33,000 in the 25-54 demographic. The viewership fell by 19% and the demo figure decreased by 34%.

The episode followed the Full Gear pay-per-view and featured the start of the Continental Classic with Darby Allin vs. Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ricochet, and Shelton Benjamin vs. Mark Briscoe on the program.
