Big E returns to WWE TV on Raw, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods distance themselves from E for being absent from New Day

Woods and Kofi want nothing to do with Big E.

10 years of New Day was celebrated on the 12/2 Monday Night Raw. Coming out to the ring were Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The duo were about to make an announcement about the future of The New Day after their heated argument on 11/25.

Before they could do so, Big E returned to TV for the first time since his broken neck injury in March 2022. E has taken on outside projects and been part of the WWE P.L.E. Kickoff and post-show panels while he’s been out. He spoke to Woods and Kingston about what they’ve been through together.

He went on to reveal that until he’s medically cleared, he’ll be by Woods and Kingston’s side as their manager. That proposition was met with an unsure response from Woods. He questioned E’s timing considering he’s been watching him and Kofi go back-and-forth for months. Kofi agreed with the point and mentioned Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle and Adam Copeland coming back from their respective neck injuries.

Woods mentioned the torn Achilles he suffered, having surgery and making his way back to TV for The New Day. Kingston expressed to E that if he really cared, he would have been back. Woods called the former WWE Champion a ‘burden’ and added that he’ll never be medically cleared.

He told E that he should go back to his desk job. Woods and Kofi turned to each other and solidified that it’s just them two going forward.
