The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship will be defended by Zack Sabre Jr. against Shota Umino on January 4th. Whoever wins will defend the title at Wrestle Dynasty. ZSJ is set to face Richochet, while Umino will go up against Claudio Castagnoli.
The same stipulation applies to the IWGP Global Championship, which David Finlay will defend against Yota Tsuji at Wrestle Kingdom. Finlay faces Brody King and Tsuji goes one-on-one with Jack Perry at Wrestle Dynasty.
