The ‘Winter is Coming’ edition of AEW Dynamite saw virtually no movement from last week’s viewership figures.

The December 11 episode from Kansas City averaged 594,000 viewers and 232,000 viewers (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic, which increased 1% from last week. (Data: Wrestlenomics and Programming Insider)

This was a three-week high for Dynamite but comes off some of the show’s lowest numbers of the year. This Wednesday’s 18-49 audience was the fifth lowest of 2024 when Dynamite aired in its regular slot.

Despite the fall in its core demo, the show still ranked fourth among cable in prime time behind the Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks on ESPN (0.47), Jesse Waters Primetime on Fox News (0.19), and The Challenge on MTV (0.19).

In the demo, males had a minor drop from 164,000 viewers last week to 158,000 while females increased from 66,000 to 75,000.

The 18-34 demographic, which has become the key barometer of momentum, was flat at 70,000 viewers, the same as last week.

Adults 35-49 averaged 161,000 viewers, up by 1% from last week with an increase among females to make up for a small loss in male viewers.

Last year’s Winter is Coming show aired on December 13, 2023, with 845,000 viewers including 394,000 in the 18-49 demographic, 165,000 in 18-34, and 228,000 viewers in 35-49.

Dynamite’s viewership on TSN 2 in Canada was 81,400 with 33,400 in the 25-54 demographic as it ranked fifth among sports on Wednesday behind the NHL and two NBA games. This week’s overall audience just edged out the previous week’s and was Dynamite’s highest number in Canada since November 13.

Dynamite’s competition next Wednesday will include a two-hour finale of Survivor on CBS, which ranked first among all television programming this past week with 4,888,000 viewers and 0.68 in the 18-49 demographic.
