The Winged Eagle and Undisputed WWE Title belts will be on the line.
WWE’s 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is taking place on February 1st from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Coming out of the 12/27 Friday Night SmackDown, the first non-Rumble match announcement was added to the show lineup. It’ll be Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes competing in a Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The final segment of the program saw Owens join General Manager Nick Aldis in the ring. Aldis demanded that Owens hand over the Winged Eagle Championship that he took from Rhodes after attacking him at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Rhodes showed up during the segment and proposed a match between him and Owens where referees would not be a factor. Aldis then confirmed that at the Royal Rumble, the Winged Eagle and Undisputed WWE Title belts will be up for grabs in a Ladder match.
