Copeland is back in AEW.
The headlining bout of AEW Worlds End was the AEW World Championship four-way match. Jon Moxley went into the bout as champion and defended against Jay White, Orange Cassidy and Hangman Adam Page.
There was a spot when Cassidy, White and Hangman did the Shield Powerbomb onto Moxley through an announce table.
Elsewhere during the bout, referee Paul Turner stepped in when Bryce Remsburg was out of commission because he was yanked out of the ring. White had Moxley pinned, but Wheeler Yuta jumped on top of Turner. Marina Shafir attempted to sneak up on White, but he quickly turned around and hit her with a Blade Runner.
Moxley would go on to hit his Death Rider finisher onto White to retain the AEW World Championship. As Moxley, Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli were about to gang up on White post-match, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) showed up and they were soon joined by the returning Adam Copeland.
Harwood and Wheeler fought off Yuta and Castagnoli while Copeland went face-to-face with Moxley. The Hall of Famer went on to spear the champion. He took a metal piece off of a chair and choked Moxley with it until Castagnoli saved him.
Copeland got on the microphone and said Rated FTR are taking it all from the Death Riders. It was then made official that at Fight for the Fallen on January 1st, Rated FTR will take on Moxley, Castagnoli and Yuta. It’ll be Copeland’s first match since suffering a fractured tibia at Double or Nothing in May.
