Omega and Okada face to face once again.
The second to last match on the AEW Worlds End card was the finals of the Continental Classic tournament. Will Ospreay defeated Kyle Fletcher to make it to the final and Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada bested Ricochet to advance.
Okada and Ospreay clashed and joining the commentary desk to be on the call was Jim Ross.
Coming out of their match victorious was Okada. He is now the 2024 Continental Classic winner and retained his Continental Championship. Ospreay and Okada shook hands afterwards.
Post-match, Christopher Daniels came out and stated that he cannot present Okada with the Continental Title because he’s no longer an AEW EVP. He then introduced the returning Kenny Omega to do so. Omega picked up the belt, handed it over to Okada and they stood face-to-face before Omega exited the ring.
Omega came back from his injuries under the New Japan Pro-Wrestling banner at Power Struggle. He’ll be returning to in-ring action at Wrestle Dynasty against Gabe Kidd at the Tokyo Dome. Omega was last present on AEW programming when he was taken out by The Elite (Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson).
