Highlights from Rated FTR’s scrum session.
Following AEW Worlds End, the post-show/media scrum took place and the first guests to take the stage alongside Tony Khan were Rated FTR (Adam Copeland, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler).
The trio are set for tag action at Fight for the Fallen in Asheville, North Carolina against The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta).
There were multiple highlights from the session and those are noted below:
- Speaking about if he’ll continue doing risky things, Adam Copeland said it’s a part of what’s gotten him where he is and it’s not out of his character, but realizes he’s closer to the tail end of his career. Copeland has been cleared for a while, but his home area was hit by Hurricane Helene so it was more important to be home.
- Copeland thinks FTR should be AEW World Tag Team Champions. He wants the World Title and to be Trios Champions with FTR. Copeland said the match against Moxley is going to happen sooner than later.
- Cash Wheeler shares that he’s been dealing with ‘family stuff.’ He said nothing would have gotten him on a plane other than showing up at Worlds End alongside Copeland and Harwood.
- There was a story Copeland was telling about first meeting Wheeler when he worked a Gold’s Gym. Cash flexed his muscles and Copeland said, ‘There goes the gun show.’
- Harwood said Asheville, North Carolina was not initial plan for AEW’s first simulcast on Max. The initial thought was to do a house show in Asheville in support of Hurricane Helene relief, but Tony Khan suggested the idea for it to be the first simulcast on Max.
