Mina versus Mercedes at The Dome.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling, AEW, STARDOM, CMLL and Ring of Honor are going to be co-presenting Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th from the Tokyo Dome.
One of the matches on the marquee is a double title match that’ll see RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Mina Shirakawa clash with NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné. After Shirakawa’s three-way tag match at STARDOM Dream Queendom, she spoke to the press (via Proresu-TODAY).
She was asked bout the upcoming match against Moné and said it’s something she’s dreamed about for a long time.
The match with Mercedes Moné is something I have dreamed about for a long time. I met her as a friend when I was in my previous company. When she first came to Japan, I attended her through a mutual acquaintance because we could speak English. Since then, she has called me her friend and we have become good friends. But when she came to Japan (at STARDOM All Star Grand Queendom), she had the IWGP Women’s Title match, I had a white belt match, and I had a fight with Mariah May at AEW, so we didn’t have much chance to be in the same ring.
In addition to being the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, Moné is the reigning AEW TBS Champion. She successfully defended her title against Kris Statlander at the Worlds End pay-per-view.
