A new contender for the AEW World Championship will be determined next week in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The next challenger to Jon Moxley’s reign as top champ will be determined on the January 8 episode of Dynamite, when a Casino Gauntlet match will take place. The winner will go on to meet Moxley as part of Dynamite: Maximum Carnage a week later.

Moxley has defended his title twice since earning it in October, most recently prevailing in a four-way at AEW Worlds End. The upcoming matchup confirms that he will defend his title on TV for the first time later this month.
A Casino Gauntlet match sees wrestlers enter the ring on a timed basis similar to a Royal Rumble. The match comes to an end after the first time a wrestler scores a pinfall or submission.
No entrants have been confirmed for the match yet.
