OZAWA def. Kaito Kiyomiya to become GHC Heavyweight Champion at NOAH The New Year 2025

Team 2000X walked away with the gold.

The main event of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s first show of the new year was the GHC Heavyweight Championship match between OZAWA and the champion Kaito Kiyomiya.

It was a lengthy bout that had a handful of false finishes and several interferences. During the backend, the referee was taken out of the mix, and soon after, WWE’s Omos made his way to the ringside area. Earlier the night, Omos and Jack Morris captured the GHC Tag Team Championships. They are a part of the Team 2000X stable with OZAWA.

Once Ozawa strung together some offense, Omos placed the referee back in the ring. This would ultimately lead to OZAWA hitting multiple signature moves to put Kiyomiya away and become the new GHC Heavyweight Champion. OZAWA began his in-ring career just three years ago.

He got on the microphone after his win and set his sights on Kenoh, who tried to prevent him from getting an advantage in the title bout.
