TNA Impact made its debut on Sportsnet 360 in Canada and the first viewership figures are out.
The show aired from 8 – 10 p.m. ET and averaged approximately 36,000 viewers and 16,000 in the 25-54 demographic. However, it did not rank among the top ten sports programs on Thursday.
Impact was a taped episode from Center Stage in Atlanta and featured a show-long tease of Tessa Blanchard appearing. Blanchard appeared after the eight-woman tag to attack Jordynne Grace and threw her out of the building.
TNA announced its deal with Sportsnet 360 following WWE’s departure from the network after the completion of its ten-year agreement. All programming is moving to Netflix in Canada.
The deal calls for the flagship episode to air on Thursdays along with shoulder programming including TNA Xplosion & TNA in 60 and other material from TNA’s library.
Throughout December, NXT averaged 76,700 viewers and 27,700 in the demo on Sportsnet 360 during its Tuesday night slot.
