United Empire versus L.I.J. versus The Young Bucks.

It had been promoted that The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) would be challenging Great-O-Khan and HENARE for the IWGP Tag Team Championships at Wrestle Dynasty on 1/5 at the Tokyo Dome.

During NJPW World Tag League, HENARE suffered a knee injury that led to the IWGP Tag Titles being vacated. It was then decided that O-Khan would select a partner to face The Young Bucks for the vacant titles on January 5th.

After Tetsuya Naito defeated Hiromu Takahashi in the semi-main event of Wrestle Kingdom 19, they were doing their backstage media appearance(s) and were approached by O-Khan and Jeff Cobb.

O-Khan stated that Cobb will be his partner in the aforementioned tag match and he proposed that Naito and Takahashi join the mix. It’ll now be United Empire (Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb) versus The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) versus Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi for the vacant IWGP Tag Team Titles.
