Goto secures a shot at the World Title.
Before the main card of New Japan Pro-Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom 19 began, the New Japan Ranbo Battle Royal took place. The winner of the match would secure a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
The likes of Josh Barnett, KENTA and Alex Zayne competed in the match among others. The final two came down to Hirooki Goto and Great-O-Khan.
In the end, it was Goto eliminating O-Khan to win the Ranbo and securing himself a future shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
In the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 19, Zack Sabre Jr. will be defending the belt against Shota Umino. Both talents also have singles matches scheduled for the Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5th.
