Tessitore heading to SmackDown.
Ahead of Monday Night Raw’s debut on Netflix on January 6th, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is making the media rounds and he stopped past SI Media With Jimmy Traina.
As the conversation went on, Levesque addressed Joe Tessitore’s commentary status as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee will be back as the Raw commentary team starting January 6th. He stated that Tessitore will be calling the action for Friday Night SmackDown.
Tessitore had been on commentary for Raw alongside Wade Barrett. The latest commentary team for SmackDown had been Cole and Corey Graves.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Levesque said there was serious consideration to move Raw off Mondays for the move to Netflix. He also reiterated that Raw will remain PG, but the envelope will be pushed from time to time.
John Cena’s retirement tour is set to kick off on the Raw on Netflix debut. Levesque stated that Cena will be wrestling a lot in 2025 and he’s ‘all in.’
Another notable from the podcast is that Levesque has penciled in the main event of WrestleMania 41.
