Takeshita’s second match in two days and he’ll be in a third on January 5th.
There was a double title match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita put his title up for grabs against Shingo Takagi’s NEVER Openweight Championship.
After a 10-plus minute bout, Takeshita bested Takagi to capture the NEVER Title. With the victory, Takeshita is now a double champion and his next defense of both belts is taking place at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th at the Tokyo Dome.
He’ll be defending against six-time NEVER Openweight Champion, Tomohiro Ishii.
The bout at Wrestle Dynasty will be Takeshita’s third in three days. He was in action for DDT on 1/3, competed at Wrestle Kingdom 19 and will now be competing at Wrestle Dynasty.
