Taiji Ishimori won the Lucha Gauntlet Match to open the main card at Wrestle Dynasty.

The match entrants were unknown until the bell rang. The rules stipulated that the first wrestler to score a pinfall or submission would win, with a maximum of eight competitors.

The action began with Hechicero and Kosei Fujita squaring off, before being joined by Soberano Jr.

Master Wato was next to the ring, followed by Mascara Dorada.

Taiji Ishimori came out next, then Titan. Last out was new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion El Desperado. When he emerged, all seven of the other competitors ran to the ramp to attack before the action returned to the ring.

At this point, the match became an eight-man free for all, with some spectacular high-flying maneuvers.

Fujita seemingly had the match won with a submission locked in on El Desperado. However, Ishimori threw the referee into the pair to break things up and grabbed the pin on Desperado.
