Afterwards, Takeshita was confronted by Oleg Boltin.

During AEW International and NEVER Openweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita’s post-Wrestle Dynasty comments, he proposed the idea of defending the NEVER Title against KUSHIDA at NJPW Battle in the Valley on January 11th.

He spoke highly of KUSHIDA while doing so. As that was happening, Takeshita was approached by Oleg Boltin.

The two talents got in one another’s faces and Takeshita held up the NEVER Title. He added that their match can happen in Japan and Boltin said he’ll be waiting on him.

During that same presser, Takeshita announced that in addition to being with AEW and DDT, he’s officially a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Here’s the updated Battle in the Valley lineup:

  • Fred Rosser & Matt Vandagriff vs. T.M.D.K. (Bad Dude Tito & Shane Haste)
