WWE Raw on Netflix debut notes: Hulk Hogan booed, Punk def. Rollins, Logan Paul, matches on 1/13

There was an appearance from Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart to promote WWE’s partnership with Hogan’s ‘Real American Beer’ brand. When he first appeared, there was a mix of boos and cheers but when Hogan began speaking, he was booed in the arena.

In the main event, CM Punk scored a win over Seth Rollins. During the post-show, Jackie Redmond interviewed Punk and he shouted out Chris Bey and his friend Chad Gilbert, who’s fighting cancer. He added that he’s coming after World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

A Logan Paul vignette aired and he stated that he’s 100 percent focused on wrestling. He said there’s no more side hustles. Paul was then shown on-screen in the front row.

Joining the lineup for the 1/13 Raw in San Jose, California are the following bouts:

  • Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
  • Street Fight: Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor

Celebrities that were in attendance were Ashton Kutcher, Michael Che, Wale, Seth Green, Macaulay Culkin, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, Bill Simmons, Netflix executives (Ted Sarandos & Bela Bajaria), Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle McCool, Richard Godd, Tiffany Haddish, Stephen Amell, Nikki Bella, Stephanie McMahon and Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias. Iglesias was in a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley to promote his Netflix comedy special. He was interrupted by New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods). Alpha Academy (Otis, Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa) joined the mix to say New Day sucks.
