A new Women’s Champion in NXT.
The first NXT on CW show of 2025 was the New Year’s Evil special that emanated from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California.
Kicking off the in-ring action was the NXT Women’s Championship match between Giulia and the champion Roxanne Perez.
There was a point during the bout when both Giulia and Perez were down outside the ring. As the referee was nearing a 10 count, Cora Jade entered the frame and put Perez back in the ring. Giulia would eventually make her way into the ring before the final count.
After Jade was ejected, Giulia put Perez away with a Northern Lights Bomb to secure the win and the NXT Women’s Championship. Perez’s second reign with the title clocked out at 277 days.
