The first simulcast version of AEW Collision aired against the NFL this past Saturday night.

The January 4 episode from Charlotte, North Carolina, averaged 345,000 viewers and 121,000 viewers (0.09) in the 18-49 demographic with Collision also streaming live on Max.

While the episode saw a significant drop from the large audience on December 26 (635,000 viewers and 0.20 in the demo) – due to the lead-in from the Clemson vs. Texas game – excluding that week, it was Collision’s largest figures since November 16.

Collision aired against the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on ABC and ESPN which drew a combined audience of 21,971,000 viewers. Collision managed to rank third among prime-time cable programs behind ESPN’s coverage of the game.

Viewership data from Max is not available.

Collision aired live from the Bojangles Coliseum and was headlined by a six-man tag between The Learning Tree and Rated FTR and ended with an angle involving the Death Riders and The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express.

This past Saturday’s episode was the first edition of Collision to air on the Canadian version of the USA Network, but we have not received viewership data yet. Collision had previously been streaming exclusively on the TSN+ subscription service in the country.
