Gabe Kidd opened the main card of NJPW Battle in the Valley show by retaining his STRONG Openweight Championship.
After an intensely physical match with veteran Tomohiro Ishii, Kidd held onto the title as the 30-minute time limit expired.
After the bell, Kidd took to the mic to demand a 30-minute Iron Man match with Ishii at NJPW Windy City Riot in Chicago on April 11th.

Fresh off a star-making performance with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Dynasty, many had expected Kidd’s match to feature higher on the card. However, the outcome offers the chance for Kidd to cement his place.
After Ishii accepted the Chicago match, the pair exchanged slaps to the face before being separated.
