WWE NXT notes: DIY watches Fraxiom, two title matches on 1/21, Corey Graves, Atlanta show, Lash & Jakara get Tag Title shot

WWE Tag Team Champions D.I.Y. (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) appeared for a backstage interview and stated that they wanted to get a up-close look at NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom. Frazer and Axiom retained their titles over O.T.M. (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) as Gargano and Ciampa looked on.

Corey Graves was not on commentary with Vic Joseph and Booker T after tweeting that he’d have a lot to say on the 1/14 broadcast.

There are going to be two championship matches on 1/21 and those are listed below:

  • NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Eddy Thorpe
  • NXT North American Championship: Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. Ridge Holland

The 1/28 installment of NXT on CW is emanating from Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. Fallon Henley will be defending the Women’s North American Championship against Shotzi at that show. Shotzi scored a victory over Stephanie Vaquer to secure the title shot. Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne showed up during their match in an attempt to distract both talents. Henley hit Vaquer with her belt and Shotzi capitalized on that to get the win. It was Vaquer’s first singles loss in WWE.

Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson defeated Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to secure a shot at Bianca Belair and Naomi’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

After Ethan Page bested Dante Chen, he trapped Chen’s foot in-between the ring steps and ring post and kicked the steps. Page has also put Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander on the shelf. Evans made his return to television, but Page hit him in his wired shut jaw which stopped Evans’ momentum.

Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and Karmen Petrovic kissed after Adonis promised to focus on her in 2025.
