Takeshita versus Tanahashi is official.
NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi is having his last match in the U.S.A. on April 11th at the Windy City Riot event in Chicago, Illinois.
After NJPW Battle in the Valley, NEVER Openweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita issued a challenge to Tanahashi for April 11th.
The match was made official on Wednesday night. Tanahashi is going to be retiring from in-ring competition at Wrestle Kingdom in 2026 at the Tokyo Dome.
Takeshita is currently signed with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in addition to being under contract to AEW and DDT Pro-Wrestling.
